Some people were unhappy about the use of Macclesfield in this question as the base point for measurement.
For my own part, I was more concerned about the need to know whether Iceland was nearer to Macclesfield than the south of Italy; as the setter has acknowledged in the comment attached to the answer, there is not a great deal of difference. Either/or questions are bad enough even when the two options that you're choosing between don't themselves have to be guesses.
